Our Story
Mama & Bubba was born from lived experience.
In 2011–2012, I experienced both the joy and heartbreak of becoming a mother for the first time. My first daughter was born prematurely and was with us for just three precious months before she passed away. Her memory will always be part of me, and that experience shaped the mother I became.
Years later, during my pregnancy with my second daughter in 2021–2022, I found myself reflecting deeply on motherhood, memory, healing and the emotional journey that comes with bringing a baby into the world.
I realised how much of pregnancy is felt quietly. The changes, the worries, the love, the identity shifts, the hopes, the fears - and how important it is to have a space to capture those moments, not only for your baby, but for yourself as a mother.
Through conversations with other mums at focus groups, NCT classes, toddler groups and soft play sessions, I heard so many stories that echoed my own. Many mothers spoke about the emotional and mental challenges of pregnancy, the wish to preserve more memories, and the desire for baby products that felt safe, thoughtful and high quality.
Those conversations became the foundation of Mama & Bubba.
This brand is a tribute to the strength, softness, resilience and unconditional love carried by mothers. It is here to honour the journey, not only the milestones.
